Bhagwandass Morwal

Bhagwandass Morwal Born on January 23, 1960, in Nagina, District Nuh (Mewat), Haryana, [Author's Name] pursued his education in Hindi with an M.A. degree and a Diploma in Journalism. His literary contributions include novels such as Kala Pahad (1999), Babal Tera Des Mein (2004), Ret (2008), Narak Masiha (2014), Halala (2015), Sur Banjaran (2017), Vanchna (2019), Shakutika (2020), Khanzada (2021), and Mokshvan (2023). His other significant works include short story collections Seediyaan, Maa Aur Uska Devta (2008), Lakshman Rekha (2010), Das Pratinidhi Kahaniyan (2014), Dhoop Se Jale Surajmukhi (2021), Mehrab Aur Anya Kahaniyan (2021), Kahani Ab Tak (Two Volumes, 2023), as well as memoirs Paki Jeth Ka Gulmohar (2016) and Yahan Kaun Hai Tera (2023). He has also penned Lekhak Ka Mann (2017), which explores his literary ideology, and Dopehari Chup Hai (1990), a collection of poetry. Additionally, he edited Kalayugi Panchayat (1997) for children and two other works.

His accolades include prestigious awards such as the Munshi Premchand Smarak Saraswat Samman (2020-21), Delhi Legislative Assembly; Vanmali Katha Samman, Bhopal (2019); Spandan Kriti Samman, Bhopal (2017); Shravansahay Award (2012); Janakavi Mehrasingh Samman, Haryana Sahitya Akademi (2010); International Indu Sharma Katha Samman, Katha (UK), London (2009); Shabd Sadhak Jury Samman (2009); Kathakram Samman, Lucknow (2006); Sahityakar Samman, Hindi Academy, Delhi Government (2004); Sahityik Kriti Samman, Hindi Academy, Delhi Government (1994, 1999); and Rajaji Samman, awarded by the former President of India, R. Venkataraman, in Madras (1995). He was also honored with the Dr. Ambedkar Samman (1985) from the Indian Dalit Literature Academy and received the Prabhadatt Memorial Award (1985) and the Shobhana Award (1984) for Journalism.

In January 2008, he participated in the Indian Writers' Conference held in Turin, Italy, further cementing his place as an influential figure in Indian literature.
