Faiyaz Ahmad

Faiyaz Ahmad Wajeeh is a bilingual journalist with an inclination towards arts and culture. He is currently Assistant Editor at The Wire Urdu, and writes about language, literature and cinema.Also, he hosts an interview-based video show called Adabistan at The Wire.Adabistan is an informal conversation with celebrated personalities from various fields of language, literature, culture, and cinema.Previously, he has worked at Rekhta Foundation, the world's largest digital platform on Urdu language, literature and culture. He has served there as editorial board member in the Prose Section.He has worked with Google Arts & Culture, where he initiated research on an unexplored and inadequately documented area that culminated into a project titled "Women in India: Unheard Stories." He conducted research as well as wrote the content for the project. He is also known as a short story writer and literary critic in Urdu Literature.He is the recipient of the prestigious Red Ink Award 2019.
