Parvati Tirkey
Parvati Tirkey, born on January 16, 1994, in Gumla, Jharkhand, completed her early education at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Gumla. She then pursued her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, and earned her PhD in Hindi from the same institution with a dissertation titled Kudukh Adivasi Geet: Jeevan Raag Aur Jeevan Sangharsh.
She has a keen interest in poetry and folk songs and also writes stories. One of her stories, Gidni, was published in the Vagarth magazine. Her poems have been published in various web magazines such as Indradhanush, Sadneera, Samkalin Janmat, Hindiwi, Pragatisheel Haak, and others, as well as in journals like Kriti Bahumat, Desaj Samkalin, and Sadneera (Anthropocene issue).
Phir Ugna is Parvati Tirkey's first poetry collection. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hindi at Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav College, Ranchi University.
