Pratibha Ray

Pratibha Ray is an Indian academic and writer of Odia-language novels and stories. She is a member of a number of learned societies. She has received prestigious awards like – Odisha Sahitya Academi Award 1985, Sahitya Akademi Award 2000, Padma Shri Award’ in Literature and Education by the Government of India, and Odisha Living Legend Award (Literature) 2013. Some of her famous works are Samanya Kathana – 1978, Gangashiuli – 1979, Dura Dwividha – 1999, Dehatita, 1986, Uttaramarg, 1988. She is connected with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Indian Red Cross Society, India International Centre and National Book Trust of India.
