Lalit Kumar
Lalit Kumar teaches English at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, University of Delhi. A recipient of the Kalinga Literary Festival(KLF) Book Award 2022 and Valley of Words(VoW) Book Award 2023, he is at present a Fellow at the Prime Ministers Museum and Library, Teen Murti House. His publications include The Bride, an English translation of the Maithili classic Kanyadan, a co-translation of the popular Hindi novel Twelfth Fail, and a co-edited volume titled Amaranatha Jha:Selected Essays on Literature, Languages, and University Education. His articles and interviews have featured in many national dailies, including The Hindu, The Indian Express, The Times of India, The Outlook, and The Print Week. He has served on the jury of Valley of Words Literary Festival. Currently, he is working on an English translation of Nagarjun's Hindi novel Ratinath ki Chachi and an intellectual biography of Deendayal Upadhyaya. He holds a doctorate on Maithili print culture from the department of English, University of Delhi and writes satires in Hindi.
