The Banaras Lit Fest 2026 proudly presents Speak-A-Thon, in collaboration with Sunbeam Academy Group and The Learning Lounge - a golden opportunity for students from Classes 3 to 10 to showcase their ideas, talent, and confidence on a grand stage.

Participants will compete in a stimulating and supportive environment, sharpen their public speaking skills, and stand a chance to win exciting cash prizes and certificates

English Speak–A–Thon

Category A: Classes 3–6

Introduction

The Banaras Lit Fest 2026 proudly presents Speak-A-Thon, in collaboration with Sunbeam Academy Group and The Learning Lounge. This competition offers students from Classes III to X an opportunity to showcase their ideas, talent, and confidence on a grand stage.

Preliminary Round Guidelines

1. Eligibility

The competition is open to students from Class III to Class X.
Participants must register in the appropriate category as per their class and language (Hindi / English).
Each participant may participate in only one category.
To register please fill in the form provided.

2. Language & Category

Participants must perform strictly in the language of the category chosen (Hindi or English).
Switching between languages during the performance is not permitted.

3. Mode of Participation

The Preliminary Round will be conducted through video submission.
Each participant must submit only one video, recorded in portrait orientation.

4. Video Duration & Introduction

The video must not exceed 1 minute.
Participant must mention Name and Class at the beginning.
School name must not be mentioned at any point in the video.

5. Dress Code

Participants must not wear school uniform in the video.
This rule is mandatory to ensure fair and unbiased judgment.

6. Performance Format

Participants may choose any one of the following formats:

Speech
Song
Stand-up Comedy
Storytelling

7. Entry Limit (Important)

Only the first 150 complete and valid entries will be considered for the Preliminary Round.
Entries will be accepted strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once the limit is reached,no further entries will be evaluated, even if submitted before the deadline.

8. Submission Deadline

Videos must be uploaded via the official submission formon or before 25th January 2026, 11:59 PM.
Late, incomplete, or non-compliant entries will be automatically disqualified.

9. Judging & Assessment Criteria (Preliminary Round)

Videos will be evaluated on the basis of:

Body Language
Appearance
Content & Delivery
Adherence to Time Limit

The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

10. Selection for Final Round

The Top 20 participants will be shortlisted from the Preliminary Round.
Shortlisted participants will perform live on the Final Day – 31st January 2026.
