Somu Mitra

Somu Mitra is an  Actor turned director /producer/ entrepreneur. She is the niece of the legendary Bengali lyricist Gauri Prasanna Majumdar. She has been a part of many Hindi and Bengali daily soaps...has been an associate with Ravi Chopra / B R Chopra House and many others, she has directed 3 music videos and Sundori Kamala being her third.. She has directed and produced 2 Bengali short movies CHOR and POCKETMAAR.

CHOR has been screened in many places and has received many awards and is on the verge of release through a prominent channel,   POCKETMAAR will be screened soon.  Both the  movies carry a very important message which is conveyed in a very casual manner. She is working on few more projects and you will be able to witness them soon.

She also runs a non profitable organisation Creative Connection Trust which supports 40 orphan children and have supported around 35 families regularly during the covid19 lockdown period and continuing the same till now, also tried feeding the stray animals  in coordination with animal activists. Supported the musicians in need & Amphan stricken people of Sundarbans in collaboration with different NGO's and deposited some amount to their accounts.
