Alka Saraogi has nine novels to her credit besides two collections of short stories. She got the Sahitya Akademi award for her first novel and has won many more since then. She is widely translated into many Indian languages as well as English, French, Italian and German languages. She has represented Hindi writing at many international forums and has been knighted Cavalier by the govt of Italy.
