Deepak Sapra
Deepak Sapra is CEO of Pharmaceutical Services and Active Ingredients (PSAI) at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Hyderabad, driving healthcare access, equity, and innovation across 80 countries in five continents.
An engineer and MBA, he’s an alumnus of IIM Bangalore and Carnegie Mellon, and a Fulbright and Chevening scholar.
He began his career in the Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers. His book, The Boy Who Loved Trains, is a lighthearted, nostalgic, fictionalised account of a young railway officer’s coming-of-age. He is completing his next two books, a personal, human story of medicines that changed the world and another on the partition of India in 1947.
Deepak also writes for The Times of India, Outlook, The Telegraph, and India Today, and has run a disability-support trust in rural West Bengal for 24 years.
