Mahua Sen
Mahua Sen is a writer, poet, and translator based in Hyderabad. Her recent translation, The Dead Fish (Rupa Publications), is the English rendition of Rajkamal Chaudhary’s controversial Hindi novel Machhli Mari Hui, which explores lesbian identity. The book has received widespread critical acclaim from scholars, critics, and readers across literary circles. It was nominated for the VOW Book Awards and shortlisted for the Banaras Lit Fest Book Awards, among other recognitions.
Her poetry collection, Nostalgia: Crafting a Home Within (Red River) was an Amazon bestseller and received the Maharshi Ved Vyas International Award for Poetry.
Her poetry, translations, and essays have been widely published in literary journals, newspapers, and over seventy anthologies.
