Shishir Sinha

Senior Journalist & Economic Affairs Correspondent, The Hindu Business LineShishir Sinha is a senior journalist with over 30 years of experience in economic and policy reporting. Born in Bihar and an alumnus of Banaras Hindu University, he holds degrees in Economics Hons, Journalism & Mass Communication, and a Post-Graduation in Economics.He began his career with PTI Bhasha and has worked with Amar Ujala, Aaj Tak, CNBC Awaaz, and ABP News, before joining The Hindu Business Line, where he currently writes on micro and macro economies. An accredited correspondent for Parliament since 2000, he has covered 30+ Union Budgets and interviewed six Finance Ministers including Yashwant Sinha, P. Chidambaram, Arun Jaitley and Nirmala Sitharaman. He is a regular expert on Sansad TV, DD News, and Akashvani.He also teaches ‘Specialized Reporting on Economy’ at IIMC, Jamia, and others, and trains officers of IA&AS, IIS, and CPSEs like NTPC and Indian Oil in media and crisis communication.
