Anurag Basnet

Anurag Basnet is an editor, publisher, and translator based in Gangtok, Sikkim. He is the Publisher at Anthill Press. With 15 years in publishing, he has worked with Penguin Books India [now Penguin Random House India], Rupa Publications, and Speaking Tiger.As a translator, his published works include Is That Even a Country, Sir! by Anil Yadav, The Free Voice: On Democracy, Culture and the Nation by Ravish Kumar, This Place of Mud and Bone by Sanjay Bista, and Fruits of the Barren Tree [Phoolange] by Lekhnath Chhetri. Fruits of the Barren Tree was shortlisted for the Madan Puraskar 2021.
