Hindol Sengupta
Dr. Hindol Sengupta is a multiple award-winning historian and author of 13 acclaimed books. He has been Vice President (Strategy and Research) at Invest India - the national investment promotion agency of the Government of India - and editor-at-large for Fortune India. His multidisciplinary work explores India rise in the world, connecting international relations, history, economics, trade, culture, and religion. A World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, he was trained at Worcester College, Oxford (Chevening Scholar), Columbia University (Knight-Bagehot Fellow), and holds a doctorate in international relations from the Geneva School of Diplomacy. He is the only Indian to have won the Wilbur Award from the Religion Communicators Council of America, and has been shortlisted for the Hayek Prize by the Manhattan Institute. His work has also won the Valley of Words prize, the Kalinga Literature Festival award, and the PSF prize. He is Director of the Jindal India Institute at Jindal Global University.
