Anamika

Professor Anamika teaches Literatures in English at Satyawati College, University of Delhi. Her doctoral research focused on the reception of John Donne across the ages. Over the years, she has published extensively in the areas of Translation Studies, feminist discourse, and Gender Justice. Alongside eight significant volumes of literary criticism, she has authored eight acclaimed Hindi novels, among which Dus Dware ka Pinjara, Tinka Tinke Paas, Aienasaz, Trin Dhari Oat, and Door Desh Ke Parinde occupy a distinguished place in contemporary Hindi literature. In 2020, she was honoured with the Sahitya Akademi Award for her poetry collection Tokri Mein Digant. Poems from her other celebrated collections are prescribed in the syllabi of several universities and have been translated into Malayalam, Marathi, Bangla, Punjabi, Odia, Kannada, Korean, Russian, and English. An avid translator and cultural interlocutor, Professor Anamika is also the founder-editor of the bilingual journal Pashyantee.
