Makarand R Paranjape
Makarand R Paranjape is currently Director of Education, Access Health Care Physicians, Spring Hill, Florida, and Honorary Sri Aurobindo Chair, Vedere University. He served as Professor of English at Jawaharlal Nehru University for nearly 25 years and as Director of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (Shimla). He has held fellowships including the inaugural India Chair at the National University of Singapore, the Shivadasani Fellowship at Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies, and the inaugural Erich Auerbach Visiting Chair in World Literature at the University of Tuebingen. A poet, novelist, critic, and commentator, he is the author and editor of over 50 books and has published over 200 academic papers. His latest books include Hindutva and Hind Swaraj: History Forgotten Doubles (Penguin Random House, 2025) and Identity Last Secret (BluOne Ink, 2023).
