M S Murthy

Dr. M.S. Murthy (born 1960) is a renowned Bengaluru-based artist, painter, sculptor, muralist, and author known for his work in gestural abstraction and Buddhist themes. He holds a Diploma from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath and a Doctorate from Kannada University. A former Chairman of the Karnataka Lalithkala Academy (2015-2017), his art often explores spirituality, silence, and themes like the 'Bowl' or 'Buddha'.
