Pravin Kumar

Pravin Kumar completed his education at Hindu College, Delhi University. His first collection of stories, "Chhabila Rangbaaz Ka Shahar," was a Hindi bestseller and received the 'Dr. Vijaymohan Singh Smriti Yuva Katha Puraskar' in 2018, as well as the inaugural 'Shabd Samman (Thaap)' award from the Amar Ujala group in the same year. He was also awarded with the KLF Book Award in 2023. His second collection of stories, "Vasco da Gama Ki Cycle," has been widely discussed. Praveen Kumar is known for his use of new narrative language and innovative techniques in story writing.

 

He is the first writer in India who has written a critically acclaimed and award winning novel based on global pandemic covid with the name of ‘Amar Deswa’.His stories are regularly published in literary magazines such as Tadbhav, Hans, and Naya Path, as well as web magazines like Samalochan and The Lallantop.

 

Currently, he is an Associate Professor at Department of Hindi,  University of Delhi.
