Irfan is a seasoned media professional with over three and a half decades of extensive experience across print, radio, television, and digital platforms. As a host and communicator, he excels at building bridges with his deep knowledge, precision, and genuine compassion~ appealing to everyone from art and culture luminaries to audiences from all walks of life.

Widely regarded as an original (OG) podcaster, Irfan has reinvented and elevated the art of long-format exploratory interviews. His iconic weekly celebrity talk show Guftagoo (Conversations) is now in its 15th uninterrupted year, featuring in-depth discussions with nearly 600 distinguished personalities from diverse fields.

On BBC News Irfan's signature interviewing style can be witnessed in the heartfelt storytelling series titled Kahani Zindagi Ki.

Previously, as Editor-in-Charge of the Art and Culture Desk at Rajya Sabha TV (now Sansad TV), he played a key role in highlighting India's rich cultural heritage. His work~ including Colours of India, special features, and nationwide documentaries~ continues to be available on the Sansad TV YouTube channel.

A passionate enthusiast of cinema, theatre, and music, Irfan is based in Delhi. Through his podcast channel Listen with Irfan, he shares a vast personal archive alongside fresh episodes. His latest venture, Memorywala, focuses on preserving and bringing family legacies to life through emotional legacy films and heritage documentaries.
